Life After the eXcape: Cherrita story

Stories of individuals courageously rebuilding their lives and identities.

Hi, I’m Cherrita.

I am a widow and the mother of three children. I have always had a heart for serving others, especially in the areas of health, wellness, and supporting families. I am certified to work with children and have an excellent driving record.

I was raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, although I was never baptized. Even so, growing up in a high-control religious environment shaped many parts of my life and my journey.

Recently, I experienced some difficult circumstances and found myself facing a challenging season. During this time, I am incredibly grateful to have been able to reach out to Angie Be and The Exodus Group for support. Their assistance has helped me stay focused, encouraged, and aligned with my purpose while I work toward rebuilding my life.

This experience has reminded me that although I may not know exactly what the future holds, I can continue moving forward with faith and determination. It has also shown me who is truly there for me during life's most difficult moments.

I am thankful for the support I have received and look forward to getting back on my feet, creating stability for myself and my children, and continuing to flourish as I walk in my purpose.

Thanks Again. Cherrita
