Navigating Spring Holidays
March feels like a quiet invitation to begin again.
As the seasons shift and spring holidays approach — especially ones like Easter — I notice old emotions rising to the surface. Themes of renewal and redemption are everywhere at this time of year. For some, those words feel hopeful. For me, they once felt heavy.
Renewal used to be tied to fear.
I was taught that redemption meant I had done something wrong. That I needed saving. That worthiness came after repentance. And if I’m honest, those teachings didn’t always feel loving — they felt conditional.
But healing has given me space to redefine what renewal means.
This month, I’m asking myself: What does renewal look like when it isn’t rooted in fear? What does belief look like when it evolves instead of confines?
I’m holding onto two affirmations as I move through March:
Affirmation to Release: "I release fear-based teachings about renewal and redemption.”
There was a time when questioning old beliefs felt dangerous. When curiosity felt rebellious. When stepping outside rigid teachings made me anxious. But releasing fear-based narratives is not betrayal — it’s liberation.
I no longer accept belief systems that make me feel small, unworthy, or afraid.
Letting go of those teachings is an act of compassion toward myself. I am allowed to question. I am allowed to outgrow. I am allowed to rebuild.
Instead of fear, I’m choosing curiosity. Instead of shame, I’m choosing gentleness.
I’m exploring new resources — books, podcasts, and supportive communities — that help me shape a belief system rooted in love, acceptance, and emotional safety. I don’t need all the answers right now. Renewal is a process, not a one-time transformation.
And I’m allowed to move at my own pace.
Affirmation to Receive: "I receive hope and renewal from my evolving beliefs.”
There is something beautiful about evolving. About recognizing who I was five years ago isn’t who I am now — and that’s growth.
This month, I’m planting seeds as a symbol of that growth. Literally. Small pots of flowers on my windowsill. Every time I water them, I remind myself that healing happens slowly, beneath the surface first.
Roots grow before blooms appear.
Each small step I take toward healing matters. Each boundary I set. Each old belief I gently release. Each new understanding I welcome.
Renewal doesn’t have to be dramatic. It can be quiet. Steady. Personal.
As the Spring Equinox approaches — a natural reminder of balance and new beginnings — I’m reflecting on how far I’ve come. I am not who I used to be. My beliefs are softer now. More expensive. More aligned with love than fear.
If spring holidays feel complicated for you, I want you to know this:
You are allowed to redefine renewal. You are allowed to rebuild your belief system. You are allowed to grow beyond what once confined you.
Plant something this month — seeds, flowers, or even just a new idea. Let it symbolize your becoming.
We were taught to fear change. But change is where we bloom.
Still shunned. Still shining. 🌷
